The Challenge
Existing video conferencing solutions were not HIPAA compliant and struggled with low-bandwidth connections commonly found in rural areas where the service was most needed.
Our Solution
We implemented WebRTC with optimized bit-rate adaptation to ensure stable video calls even on 3G networks. All data was encrypted at rest and in transit using hardware-backed security modules on AWS.
We utilized a cloud-native approach, focusing on high availability and sub-second latency for critical operations. The integration layer was decoupled to allow for seamless third-party service connections without impacting the core engine.
